Five intense weeks of campaigning around the country has come to a close, and now people the length and breadth of Britain are heading to the polls.
As constituents head to their local voting station to exercise their democratic right, some are taking part in what has become an election tradition.
Here are some of the best dogs (and a guinea pig) at polling stations across the country.
First up, Prime Minister Boris Johnson gave rescue dog Dilyn, a Jack Russell-cross, a kiss for the cameras before heading in to vote.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan was snapped with his dog Luna at the polls – and provided Sky News with a bonus picture of Luna as a puppy.

Democracy in action is an exciting thing, and so is being posted on Twitter for Fritz the dog.
There are few things in life better than a dog, but a pun is a close second. Voter David McGrath makes a concerted effort to combine the two.
What else could be better than one dog? Many!
Not all dogs are just along for the ride. Kika the guide dog has helped her owner Amit Patel to make sure his vote can be counted.
In a change of animal, the lesser spotted polling-day-guinea-pig is… err, lesser spotted.
And in case you haven’t got the idea – Phoebe the pug is reminding you to go and vote!
We’ll be updating the best of election dogs throughout the day.
