A “unicorn” dog with an extra tail on its face has gone viral after being rescued from the streets.
Narwhal the puppy was found with another older dog in the “freezing cold” by Missouri-based non-profit Mac’s Mission.
Rescuers quickly noticed the extra tail on his face and sent him in for tests.
They found the tail was not connected to anything else and could not wag, but the organisation says the extra part makes Narwhal the “coolest puppy ever”.
In a post on its Facebook page, the non-profit said: “This is a true experience of having “extra parts” during assembly.

“Pretty sure the staff at Cape Small also gushed all over this little nugget!
“The unicorn face tail does not bother Narwhal and he never slows down just like any normal puppy.
“He seems completely healthy other than some usual puppy worms he got meds for.”
Mac’s Mission said there is no reason for the tail to be removed but the puppy will be monitored to make sure his extra facial feature does not become a problem.
The non-profit has already had a number of offers for adoption, but Narwhal will not be able to go to a new home until he has grown more.
Social media users have described the puppy as “adorable” and “precious”.
Mac’s Mission has rescued hundreds of dogs, cats, iguanas, rabbits and wildlife, according to its Facebook page.
It says it helps animals with “special needs” who would have “zero chance” otherwise.
